Learn to Swing Dance! In this introductory class, you'll learn the basics of East Coast Swing dance including the basic rhythmic step, lead/follow partnering techniques, and musicality. No partner or experience necessary. Come try something new or brush up on your skills. Instructor Maren Waldman has been teaching swing dance for over 20 years and has taught hundreds of people to dance from scratch. I am a dancer, educator, and artist in love with Earth. I am here in service to repairing the world through dance, community, collaboration, connection…and joy!
I teach dance classes and private lessons in many styles of dance for teens, adults and elders. My specialties are Swing, Salsa, and Modern/Contemporary.
My creative projects focus on bringing climate change issues to life through dance. I collaborate with engineers, environmental organizations, health educators, scientists, permaculture designers, and other artists working on behalf of a resilient Earth to design meaningful and interactive programs.
