Where is it located? Dharma’s Garden is located in North Boulder. You’ll receive directions on how to get here and where to park once you’re registered.
Do we go inside at all? Nope! This is an OUTDOOR program: rain, shine or snow. We have a portapotty and changing table close by for families to use.
Can I come visit to meet you and see the space? Yes, we’d be happy to arrange a time to chat and show you around! Send me an email at gardensongboulder@gmail.com and give me your phone number. We will call or text to set up a time for you to come over.
How big will the classes be? Most classes have around 10 families. We cap enrollment at 15 families.
Registration is full. Can I get on a waitlist? Yes, please email us right away at gardensongboulder@gmail.com to get on the waitlist for whichever session you’re interested in. Some years we move through the entire waitlist, other years no families change their plans at all.
My child has a younger/older sibling I’d like to bring. Can they come too?Siblings younger than 1 year old are always welcome to join their enrolled sibling (please confirm PRIOR to enrollment that you’ll be bringing your baby). Siblings older than 5 can join one or two times in a session with PRIOR approval from instructor. Children older than age 5 can be enrolled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us prior to registering, and let’s chat.
My child isn’t one yet, but I really want to join! Can we enroll? Sure! Just enroll at the one-child price.
My child’s grandparents are visiting from out of town. Can they come too? Sure! Grandparents are always welcome. Other visiting relatives and un-enrolled siblings are welcome to come once or twice per session. Just be sure to give the instructor some advance notice, so we can make enough snack for everyone! Pets, however, should always stay home.
I’d like to come with my spouse/parent/nanny every time. Is that OK? Yes! Especially if you have a new baby or multiple kids, having an extra adult on hand can be nice. Just let us know in the registration comments what your plan is.
Who is responsible for my child while we’re there? We have instructor(s) to lead the class who have lots of experience helping children navigate the social realm, but YOU are completely responsible for your children’s safety while you are here. There are hills, boulders, small bridges, a duck pond, etc. If your child is a wobbly toddler or a reckless preschooler, you may need to stick pretty close. Regardless, please always make sure that your child stays within your view.

Waldorf-Inspired, rooted in Nature
Join us for a fun-filled, sweet morning outside on the land!
Located in North Boulder at Dharma's Garden: 5 acres of magical land with cultivated garden space and wild places too.
During our morning, we will prepare and eat a healthy snack together, and watch the children play together. We’ll tidy up and gather for singing seasonal songs and circle games. After a lovely nature walk on the land, we might plant seeds together in the garden or enjoy a special puppet show.
The children will have space and time to be immersed in nature, while the parents look on and get to know other parents.
The morning is led by a Waldorf-certified teacher with years of experience in supporting children’s play and development. We can offer gentle support for your early childhood parenting.
What a typical Parent-Child morning at Dharma’s Garden looks like:
Arrival - Arrive at Dharma’s Garden. Walk with your child onto the land, hang up your bag near the sheep barn. Give the friendly sheep a little greeting on your way in!
Time to Play - Parents look on as the children play in the sandbox, explore the land, and play on the farm.
Circle Time - After tidying up the space, parents and children gather in the Stone Circle for circle time. We’ll sing, jump, twirl, and move together as we learn seasonal songs.
Nature Walk - Parents and children will be guided on a nature walk. through the winding trails on the land. We’ll perhaps plant some seeds or harvest veggies as we enter the garden, or feed the ducks as we visit the duck pond.
Snack Prep - Then we head over to the picnic tables for baking and chopping! We’ll chop fruit in the summer, and vegetables for Stone Soup in the spring and fall.
Play Time Again - In summer, we’ll have water play, while in the fall we will roast apples over the fire pit once the weather gets chilly!.
Story Time/Puppet Show - When we all gather together, the instructor will tell a nature story, or put on a lovely puppet show sure to be enjoyed by children and parents alike!
Snack Time - In the summer we’ll have bread, fruit and yogurt, and in the spring and fall everyone contributes to our delicious Stone Soup. After our meal, we clean up together.
Goodbye - Then it’s time to collect our children, say goodbye to friends, and head home.
