Make a Harvesting Basket!
Make an exquisite harvesting basket from wild willow. Students will have the opportunity to incorporate more patterns into their baskets..

9am to 3pm BOTH DAYS
$300 (plus $50 materials fee)
Prerequisite: Foundations of Willow Basketry Level 1 or Level 2, or previous weaving experience with Gelsey.
Ages 18 & up.
For those wishing to take their willow basketry skills to the next level, in this class we will be working with an oval base, and make a harvesting basket. Students will have the opportunity to incorporate more patterns into their baskets.

Instructor, Gelsomina Malferrari
Co-founder of Laughing Coyote, Gelsomina Malferrari comes from a family of artisans, and her ability to craft beautiful objects comes from a lifetime of creating. Raised in a bilingual family, the strong family ties of her Italian heritage continue to be important. Gelsomina is passionate about fiber, making baskets, spinning, weaving, felting. Gardening, foraging and preserving fill her time in the green months.
